The Big Apple

Hello dear readers!

Hope you guys have a good time at home because we are. Yesterday, was a pretty long day. We started it with a nice breakfast at the hotel and after that we visited the statue of liberty.
We paid for a guided tour and we learned us some facts about the statue, for an example the torch in her hand is covered in a thin sheet of 24k gold.
Later on we went to “Grand Central Station”, it was a very cool visit. We had just seen it in movies before, so it was amazing to be there. After looking around the station we went to get something to eat and clear our heads and prepare for the game between the rivals Rangers vs Devils. Visit the “Garden” has always been a dream for us since we were kids.

The game ended with the score 3-0 to Rangers, Lundqvist had an awesome night. He made some incredible saves and made Devils look silly. Unfortunately we didn't get an autograph.

Our goal today is to visit “Ground Zero” and the amazing “Central Park”.

Ground zero is a monument for the people who passed away in the well-known terror attack 9/11. Two hijacked airplanes flew into the twin towers and ended up with the two towers burning to the ground and many people died. Did you know that it says that the recent U.S president was involved in the terror attack?

Central park is a big rectangular park in the middle of Manhattan and it´s known as the world biggest and the most famous park in the world. Central Park is about 3,4 square kilometers to the surface, so it kind of a big park in the middle of the city.

That was the plans for today, know we´re heading for breakfast

Bye // Pontus
